When I upgraded to Jaguar and Panther, I just used the "Upgrade" option. I am planning to do the Clean Install this time...

What happens to pre-installed software that came with the Mac (ie. Quicken, World Book, Marble Blast, etc)? (Obviously, I know they are deleted).

Will these pre-installed programs on the Tiger disk or do I need to back-up the Quicken/World Book/Marble Blast, etc programs and reinstall?

You can reinstall these programs from your system restore disks that came with your Mac so a backup wouldn't be necessary (unless you lost or discarded your system restore disks). I would make a backup though just to be safe.

Was there a specific reason that you wanted to do a clean install? With Tiger you shouldn't want to do a clean install for multiple reasons.
