iOS Time Format Question

I'm using an NSTimer to display mins and secs ticking down in a format like: "13:23". I wrote a function to format the integer seconds of the timer's current remaining time into the format I want, returning a string. But it made me wonder if there were any built-in objects or methods that will already do this for me?
