Ok, so I set up the screensaver and the moniter settings so that the screensaver would kick on after 10 minutes of idle and after 30 minutes, the screen would go blank, upon which, if you wanted to get back in, you'd have to enter the password.

Now, in the past two weeks, I'd say about 10% of the time, it didn't even ask for a password and just went straight to my desktop. Is this just a little glitch? I know it's not a huge deal, but just curious to see if I was doing something wrong, or if it's just a little glitch.

I have never had this happen. Check your settings to make sure that you are not putting the display to sleep before you set the CPU to sleep or the screen saver to start. A password is not required to wake only the display.
