TrackPad & Cursor Freezes

BUMP.

My MBP is only a month old, got the new early 2011 13" MBP. I'm noticing an oddity, my mouse cursor will freeze up momentarily, meaning the trackpad is unresponsive. After the moment passes, the cursor is finally set "free" so to speak and I can move it around again with the trackpad. This seems to happen randomly, not under any sort of heavy usage (in fact, when it just happened now, all I had open was Gmail).

After some researching, there is no specified culprit. I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this with their 2011 MBPs?

Mine is doing this too. It's really annoying me. I'm sure its not a memory issue as I have enough. Any ideas? Does this work? http://www.squidoo.com/macfreezes

where exactly is "ignore accidental trackpad input" I've looked under keyboard and mouse in system preferences

The "Ignore accidental trackpad input" trackpad option no longer appears in System Preferences. Functionality for "Ignore accidental trackpad input" is enabled automatically, by default for these computers.

you might try 'rebooting' your trackpad by placing your palm over the entire thing for 5 seconds or so. This can sometimes help.
