powerbook g4 12 867, x.3.3, external keyboard. I want to be able to turn my screen brightness all the way down with one keystroke—that is, not by holding F14 until it dims to minimum. Is there a way to set this?- ideally I want F16, which doesnt seem to be assigned for aything. I poked around in keyboard in the prefs but i couldnt figure it out.

You might be able to do it with applescript or something. I don't know much about applescript so I might be wrong.

I think he has an external keyboard that the F16 key is on cause your right, there's no F16 on a normal powerbook keyboard (except maybe the 17inch?).
