I just put on my IS... now it says not to turn it on for 24 hours..

what happens if i do...:rolleyes:

My guess is that you run the risk of moisture from the application of the IS entering through the clickwheel. I would also guess that they didn't write that recommendation just because they thought it would be a good idea...

I could be wrong too. It's your gamble.

I definitly didn't wait for mine and it also froze up for a couple hours straight and couldn't be reset so I had to wait for the battery to run down twice before I could use it. It really worried me at first cause I put the Invisible Shield on the day I got my iPod, but after it dried it was perfectly fine.

DO NOT turn on your iPod directly after installing the I.S. 2 people I work with tried this and it fried their iPods. One iPod had it's screen turn nice rainbow colors and the other has had it hard freeze ever since they did this requiring constant drain down and recharging.
