Repost of my post on the 27" delivery general thread...

Ok, so I ordered on November 30th at around 3PM GMT.

27"/i7/8GB/3TB Fusion/680MX w/ Battery charger, Apple Care & a TB cable.

It was "processing" until last monday around 11AM GMT.

Now it's "Preparing for Shipment" since monday (4 days!) and hasn't changed.

So I called Apple. And the girl tells me that my iMac is still being built and that the "Preparing for shipment" status doesn't mean your iMac is finished...

I don't get this...

Does this mean that "Processing" only means "yeah we got your order, we'll get to it as soon as possible"? :eek:

Sounds odd, my packing slip had the 13th on it and was shipped on the 14th. it took 24 hours to go from prep to ship. I'm guessing it may have something to do with the accessories you ordered?

Devastated by John Lewis let-down

My iMac from John Lewis was due to be delivered today. I have it in writing. It has not yet arrived so I phoned to check its out for delivery to be told I would not get it till next year as they have none in stock.

New Apple iMac MD096B/A Desktop Computer, Intel Core i5, 3.2GHz, 8GB RAM, 1TB with 27" Monitor

The web site still tells me it is dispatched and will be delivered today - yet the customer support line says it was never going to be delivered this year!!??

So much for John Lewis and its IT systems

I know they're supposed to be merged in Holland and these kind of accessories should be widely available.

I don't get it... Everyone tells me it's supposed to go from "Preparing..." to "Shipped" in 24 hours...

I know i just have to be patient but it's odd that this step is taking that long!

My estimates are still the same:

"Expédition : 3 - 4 Weeks Livraison 02 Jan, 2013 - 08 Jan, 2013"

And I know they're not late! They still have plenty of time to deliver on expected dates, but I just find this step oddly long!

Hi, May be also my imac is following your's path. On my track page there is not courrier name. Only two shipping reference and ane estimated delivery date on 31/12 after mergeing operation in milan

Hi! First of all, my introduce;
I'm new in this forum but I've been reading it from 2 years. Got an iPad, a fabulous 2010 macbook pro 13inch wich works as fine as the first day and an iphone 5. Love apple's ecosistem for work and fun.

Now! I got exactly the same timelime shipment than you for my 27inch. First I had 24 december for delivery but now in ups tracking say: delivery date unkown.

Have you the same situation here? Thanks!

Woohoo! It arrived! Unfortunately I won't be able to unbox it as I have to meet some friends tonight. Will update you all tomorrow!

I don't get any such thing on my UPS track page. Absolutely no info. The status is "Clearance Completed". Was "Exception" earlier this morning. I think UPS probably ****ed something up, I read up Exception means anything from "we lost your package" to "we put it on the wrong plane". That would explain the lack of information I'm getting.

I get no delivery date anymore as well. Was 24th December until earlier today. Apple tracking still showing 21th December… right.

Got it! :D

UPS guy arrived with it 16:35.

Ordered 09:44 on 30th. Went to preparing for shipment on the 13th, shipped on 14th, arrived in UK 18th, cleared through customs on 20th, merged with AppleCare, SuperDrive and TangoBar for delivery on 21st.

Letting it warm up a little more before powering on but very eager to start playing. ;)

Mine has finally shipped! :D

27"/i7/8GB/3TB FUSION/680MX w/ AppleCare, Battery Charger & TB Cable

Ordered on November 30th around 3PM GMT!

Estimates were 3-4 Weeks, Delivery between 2nd & 8th of January.

Still don't have delivery estimate, but it's shipped! :D

Well, almost got it delivered for christmas...arrived in Stockholm 30mins before TNT closed for holidays until Dec 27th...will be a looooooooong weekend:(

I consolate myself because it will still be one week earlier than planned. I had Jan 4-8th delivery planned. Ordered Dec2nd@23h00...
