Lots of travelling with the wife this week and she's on an ip6. 2 days and I'm still getting 4G but not as often as she is. Its definitely is preferring the 3G if the signal is stronger.
I doubt it will last. I did the same yesterday and got 4g all day but today it flipped back to 3g.Hmm. Something seems to have changed. I'm now getting 4G where I should be for over a day. All I did was flick carrier to manual for an hour or so then back to normal.
It did that the other day, but I'm now rocking 2 solid days of 4G.I doubt it will last. I did the same yesterday and got 4g all day but today it flipped back to 3g.

Been having the same issue called 3 who claimed to know of no issue strange as the forums are full of owners with the same problem advised me to reset the phone and restore which I did I also took the phone off automatic in carrier settings selected another available network then re-selected 3 and switched back to automatic had 4G since 7pm tonight.
Unless you see or read an official statement I wouldn't believe anything.I thought it has been acknowledged by Three and they were working with Apple on a fix?
Thats great then. Looks like we are stuck with it.Unless you see or read an official statement I wouldn't believe anything.
Let's face it; apart from the ones complaining to the carrier who else has written an article to bring it to the attention of the media and ultimately the carrier.

If it were official we wouldn't be reading conflicting answers would we.Thought they confirmed via twitter they were aware.
Their twitter account is official. If it were official we wouldn't be reading conflicting answers would we.
Can you link me, I've just trawled back through ThreeUKSupport and can not find anything on this.Their twitter account is official.
Are you saying it's a hardware issue?I'm another with the exact same problem. My partner got a new iPhone 7 on the same day and the same shop as me and it works fine. We tried swapping the sims between phones, my sim in his phone 4g instantly, his sim in my phone 3G! So it's definitely not a sim issue!
The manual network selection seems to work some of the time but not all and it takes ages to swap even if it does. Not happy, and once again we are both with three uk
I very much doubt it's directly a hardware issue. Are you saying it's a hardware issue?
Can be fixed by firmware update them or not? I would expect all iphone 7s to have the problem in three thenI very much doubt it's directly a hardware issue.
Most probably it's the new Intel chip that has not been coded correctly.
The Qualcomm chip was well run in. All problems had been ironed out.
Here you have a new chip that is going to bring error after error for the time being.
Firmware fix ~ Yes.Can be fixed by firmware update them or not? I would expect all iphone 7s to have the problem in three then
