My mid 2013 Macbook Air has been working fine up until I tried updating to El Capitan. I downloaded it and ran the installer then when the computer restarted it took a very long time to move through the progress bar and got caught half way through the progress bar. The first thing I did was let it run all night just in case because I read that some of the installs were just taking a very long time. Then after I realized it definitely got stuck I had a friend make a USB install for me to see if that helps the problem but that yielded similar results. At this point I couldn't open the recovery for some reason but I could open internet recovery, which is the only install method that works now. So any ideas of how I can update? I can't update at all now. I'm stuck with 10.8.5. I cannot update to Mavericks, Yosmite or El Capitan. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
