Volkswagen Debuts 'iBeetle' With iPhone Integration and Special Badging

The problem with anything like this is tech will become outdated long before the car. My 20yo car has had 4 head units over it's life, now finally with a USB port so my iPhone can charge on the go along with hours of music and when I get a new iPhone with the mini connector I just need a different USB lead and new mount.

Terrible placement. It should be more seamless than a dash-mount for your phone. Not to mention, what happens when the iPhone changes shape? Surely people keep cars longer than phones, no?

Im getting annoyed. This is the same head unit like Jetta/Passat many other models. Why cant they offer 2012 owners of the jetta an firmware update?

I dont think they actaully mount the phone, they just that example. Everything is done via usb cable and headunit. you can place your phone anywhere.

It was relevant to the post two above you, by a guy complaining about how Apple should never associate itself with a "weenie" car like the Beetle.

I'm not sure why it quoted you instead of him; it seems that another person quoted me when trying to quote someone else, perhaps it was a glitch.
