I've been looking for a widescreen panel for a while now, and yesterday I finally pulled the trigger and bought the Dell 2005FPW 20.1" widescreen display that uses the same LCD panel as the Apple 20" display. It's arriving on Tuesday... *bouncie*
I just read that it supports landscape and portrait use, and swivels, and that macs with ATI video cards should support this. I have a Quicksilver G4 with an ATI 8500 OEM card. Does anyone know if this supports that feature, like newer cards do?
This is my first LCD monitor. I've always stuck with CRTs because my primary use is video editing - I'm currently working on a feature film. I'll still monitor the video on my calibrated CRT but does anyone have any comments on the suitability of a better quality LCD like this for watching video?
