    Here some photos:

I read about this problem and many people have it. WHY weird in subject? Because I have reversed problem: everyone see it on black screen. I took 2 photos, on white screen and black. And as you can see, it's visible only on white, not on black.

Should I exchange it??? This is samsung screen in macbook air 13. :)

I've usually heard people report seeing this on a white or grey screen, so thats not out of the ordinary. It looks pretty typical to me, having owned 2 2010's and 2 2011's.

Soo you had that problem right? I think its weird because majority have this on black screen, mine is visible on white and grey during boot with apple logo and some bright colours similar to white. When i have dock its not visible. It concerns me because its on my fresh mac and visible on white www pages. on the other hand, many people report this problem, some replaced their models with bleed again.... And mine screen is probably the best color quality in Air line....

I had the exact problem - returned it to Apple store and new one is fine. Take it back.

Yaah the problem is to tue closest apple store I have 600 km... And many people reported this and even if they replaced, their new models still had it... Soo im afraid that replacement can be even worse....
And many other threads.... Besides that Air is great...

    More photos to come!!

I think that at some angles it is visible, and at other barely.. I posted photos how it looks like on Google fullscreen and this forum which has grey and white colours.. if you can't recognize this spot on photo with macrumors it's under 'yesterday' word....

GOSH!!!!!! I wouldn't see it if I didn't set up fullpage first day... and I even don't use fullscreen browser!! That feeling is sooo painful that I have problems with brand new babyboy mac.. and I have some refund for this mac from my parents... They will destroy me if they know that I have problems with such an expensive laptop!! :(

Maybe some normal dude wouldn't notice this, but years ago I was extremely picky, even this was disease.... I bought a PSP and had similar problems but better, some LCD wave visible only under sick angle... and I sold PSP because I couldn't stand it :(
And Apple store or resellers are far away, and I get Samsung screen... it's sharp and vivid, I read that is much better than LG....

Sorry for long post, but I'm young and this is very big deal for me.... Its like buying brand new car....

I received my 13" Air with Samsung display on Friday and I'm seeing similar inconsistencies with backlighting (darkened areas interspersed with brighter headlight-like 'V' shapes) along the entire bottom edge of the screen. I'll take a photo later so you can judge for yourself, but I would say mine looks even worse. I will be requesting a replacement unit and I advise you to do the same; do not settle.

However, I can understand your trepidation in returning. I happened to be in close proximity to an Apple store over the weekend and of the three 13" Airs I checked, only one had a screen that I would consider acceptable, i.e it showed no signs of this or any other problems. I can't say I left with much confidence in Apple's quality control.

You are obviously obsessing about this, so it is bothering you. Go ahead and take it back, OR decide to just use the machine and stop obsessing about the slight variation of lighting at the bottom of the screen.

Either way, you need to be comfortable with the machine, so at this point I'd recommend you go ahead and return. Just understand that it is likely you will be able to detect similar bleeding with certain colors on the new one as well.

    Good luck...

Sooo you wrote in second post in this thread that you have this issue. Do you still have it?

Ok so I was in store and they said that they would need at least 1 week to replace the screen. They denied a new replacement for air ;/ And I can't be without my main machine for 1 week, at least now... Soo maybe some time I'll give them for replacing... But dunno, honestly disassembling is worse than this spot...

If you are still within the return period, just return it for a refund. Then walk in another store and purchase another one :)

You mean 14 days return period? Unfortunately, I bought MBA more than 14 days ago... And this rule works only in US, AFAIK...

On the other hand, many people report this is common and live with it... I see it only on booting, no even in movies like in majority... maybe when I will have some spare time I give on warranty only if they repair it/replace :)
