I have some B&W G3s, which were naturally made before the invention of the Airport wireless card.

I have a Airport Extreme PCI card, but that only works in OSX.

I'm curious about whether an Airport (original) PCI card was ever made, which would work under Mac OS 8.6 / OS 9?

I assume those Lucent PCMCIA cards were made for Powerbooks (Lombard/Wallstreet), I suppose the drivers for them would work the same in a PCI adapter on a B&W?
I’d hope so.

But: the Cardbus bridge on the PCI adapter also needs to be supported by Mac OS 8.x/9.x, so which ones are?

AFAICS...
Update: this post (in French) is about adding an 802.11g card to a B&W G3 using a TI-based Cardbus-to-PCI adapter that “should” have worked… yet it didn’t. More info (in English).
