iPhone SE (4")small edition? Special Edition?
iPhone (4.7")
iPhone Pro (5.5")
Rose Gold is the best ?

If she likes the form factor the SE is a great value. I think it meets the needs of a huge portion of buyers at a significant discount over the 6s. The loss of some features is disappointing, but again, most users won't mind.

SE means Special Edition
I was able to grab two-seconds of Phil Schiller's attention on the demo floor. In that time, I asked him perhaps the most important question of the day: What does "SE" stand for? "Special Edition," he told me. For him, the name pays homage to the Macintosh SE; a computer the company released in 1987.

Probably "special edition", but is the meaning of SE really going to help you determine whether or not to buy the phone?

They're kinda harking back to the Mac desktops of the late 80s. The high-end machine was the Mac II, but at the same time the Mac SE was released that was the same exterior as the previous models but enhanced internals.

Strange case to use the "special edition" phrase, but I feel like they've should horned things before, so the is no exception lol.

Why ask about color here. You want to make her happy, let her choose the color.
Surprise gift idea? Idk. My wife can't decide what she wants more than half the time anyway lol.

I like this for two reasons:
  • Steve was always a proponent of phones having a smaller display
  • He died the day after the iPhone 4s was released. People in the know at the time said that the iPhone 5 was the last one he worked with the design team on before dying. The iPhone SE is based on that design. He never saw the iPhone 6.

If he would see the design of the iPhone 6, he would die again.

Stupid Edition

I hate how everybody on YouTube is like that. Even the videos floating around, usually in the "popular" section in YouTube, "Apple once again selling a 'new' iPhone six months later that's the exact same thing, for an insane price tag"

Just about gets me going every time "every iPhone is significantly better than the last, you're just too ignorant or casual of a phone user to care or notice", "Apple doesn't update their phones that quick... Just once a year. Sorry you bought your iPhone a week before their event. Pay attention next time", and "Nobody bitches about the price of Samsung flagships etc"

...but I know better than to feed or get involved with the trolls :D they counter everything you say, no matter how logical or true with "You only say that because you're an iSheep"

Extremely annoying because this nonsense fills the head of the average consumer and Apple gets slagged by everyday people for absolutely no reason. That's the only reason it bothers me.
