I keep seeing references to "topsites" - seems like a separate class of web site - there's "blogs" and "content management" and "forums" and so on and then there's "topsites"

In 25 words or less - what ?

Thanks, Margaret

"topsites" are sites that list say, the top 100 websites of a certain genre. you'll see the sites listed from #1 down, usually rated on hits or votes.

"topsites" can also refer to websites in the top level of the illegal "warez" distribution, including movies, music, games and software.

does that help? i was going to suggest using Google... but funnily it's not too obvious to see examples of what i'm talking about. and i'm talking about searching for the first type of "topsite". i don't think you'll ever find the warez type... ;)

Thanks, that does help. I could find software to create a topsite, but no examples of what a "topsite" was used for.

Take care, Margaret
