I am interested in picking up a MBP CD not the C2D since they obviously cost more. Im looking to get a 2ghz with 1gig ram and 80gig drive. Is 1000 too low? Not sure of the market price on something like that. Thanks in advance :)

$1000 may be a tad bit too low. Just to give you an idea of what the refurbs cost at the Apple Store online...

$1k is low for a new one... I'd been searching and finally got a MBP Core Duo 2 gHz, 80 gig drive, and 512 ram, brand new from CDW for $1329... the best price I've seen by far. It comes with a single 512 module, so I just added another 512 ram from Crucial for $50, bringing it to 1 gig.
