I know this subject is taboo here, but I am a college student who could care less :p I currently use both limewire and acquisition, but feel slightly bad about not paying for anything, plus I want the faster downloads. I would like to purchase ONE of the programs, but I'm not sure which one would be better. So, for the people who have the purchased versions of each, which one would you recommend?

i don't need a lecture. i know it's not the moral thing to do but iTunes is way too expensive. I can manage spending ~$20 once for unlimited downloads but $1 per song will add up for at least $150 a year. If I had the money for iTunes I would gladly use it, but the fact is I don't and I'm not gonna let that prevent me from downloading music. So if there's anyone out there who can relate to me, which service would you recommend?

you won't get an answer to that here, and some mod will soon move your thread to the wastelands... but why do you feel worse about not paying for limewire/aquisition than not paying for all that other stuff? I'm confused..

since you seem to be in the mood for theft...why not just use the programs in questions to find full versions of that respective program? i dont see why you have a problem not paying for limewire and aquisition but you do have a problem not buying music.

personally i use iTunes whenever i can. but for record labels and artists that are still "too good" (aka thumb up their butts) to provide their music how i decide to purchase my music i will use limewire for those tracks. for everything else im 100% legit through iTunes and they will get my hard earned cash. luckily there arnt too many hold outs left and i use iTunes pretty much exclusively.
i dont mind buying CDs, but where i live there are no good record stores anywhere even close to being convenient and walmart likes to edit their CDs.

i guess i just feel like if i pay for SOME kind of service, it will be beneficial to someone. I guess you could say i feel guilty for "stealing" music, but buying every song just can't happen for me. So I want to do what I can with what I have, and that's buying either Limewire or Acquisition.
