Hey guys & girls,

I'm heading over to the states/canada for a few weeks over the
new years period and we are spending a week in Whistler.

Flights are booked and we are waiting for 07/08 prices on some
hotels, can anybody recommend a few good hotels that are within a few
minutes walk to the village centre or in the village centre? Budget wise
looking around $500AUD (470CAN / 408USD) and under per night.

P.S we are heading to San Fran and Toronto also

If you're willing to spend that much on a hotel room you should easily be able to find ski in/ ski out accommodations that suit your price range.

yeah... for that price rent a condo for the week. Will be much cheaper.

Thats what i thought, but we've been looking at ones like that hilton, westion, pac sun ect
and you're looking at almost 1K AUD a night! psshh. Any specific condos i should be looking at?

Sorry for not responding sooner, but we're still unpacking from our trip to.....Whistler!!! The good news, this is heaven. The bad news, you do know you are going peak season, things are slowly heading upward as the 2010 Oympics are looming. I saw lots of condos, can't say that I recommend one over the other. But some of the people I met stayed at nearby in Pemberton (about 45 minutes away). You can at least get an overview of the area by going to

BTW: It seemed like 90% of Whistler was from Australia
