The OS occasionally drops the wireless connection on wake. I have noticed that it is more common on 5GHz networks, and doesn't seem related to DHCP leases. The connection indicator doesn't suggests a problem with a connection; both it and ifconfig suggest a normal connection.
Only bringing the interface down and back up seems to work.
What concerns me is that this seems like a regression of an old problem that was fixed a while ago, and that I had used 10.10.5 for over a year without encountering it.
