Wireless audio for movies

A newbie on Apple TV but I have set up a projector to a MacMini and use it in my screened in porch for movies.

What i like is I can stream the audio using A third party application, I can't recall the name Air something, because iTunes can't send the audio to speakers connected to an Airport Express in sync with the movie.

Can Apple TV use wireless speakers connected to an Airport and keep the audio in sync?
