Wondering about the MS Office for Mac rebate

I was wondering about that 50 dollar rebate. Does anyone know if the rebate is only valid if I buy it through Apple or does it not matter?

I don't know how long this link will work for, but if you go to apple.com's store and enter the edu section you can click on the info for MS office, here , and if you read the fine print of the actual rebate form it says:

You must acquire qualifying products from July 16, 2005 through September 16, 2005. This offer is valid on purchases of Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac Student and Teacher Edition (SKU...) made in the US at an Apple store retail location, through Apple Telesales, or on the Apple Store online.

So it looks like the purchase must be made via Apple.
