Hit 10,000 points today for Team MacRumors! It only took me about two weeks! Not too shabby! Should be hitting the top 50 in rank soon...
Sorry, but I'm pretty excited about it. I think it's too cool!

Tha answer is 9 active processors in the last week.

Must be some overclocked PC's in that bunch ;)
Here's his stats
http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/member_overview.php?UserID=69071
Seems he made 3,250 points in the last 7 days, that's 7,250 points made in the first week. if we go by what he says.
Well you guys figure it out :)
Glad he's Folding for a Mac team, very impressive numbers.

if not set up properly, 1 machine can mean several machines, even a whole lab if the client ID is the same
the program would have no way to establish if one machine is different from another

Well I always suspected it's possible to say finish eight units, transfer them to a bootable hard drive, upload the original and then boot from the second hard drive and upload those.
Copy those back to the first hard drive, boot from that...
etc., etc.
I don't know what's worse, this or dropping tinkers.
But it seems Stanford indeed gives out the same wu's multiple times to the same person, on the same machine.
I finished all mine and got credit for the duplicates.
So really what's stopping one from uploading the same finished wu's over and over again?

Well if you check his graph from the Extreme Overclocking site you would see it has been 3 weeks, not two, still very impressive. We could use a couple dozen more like twiztidn8v and shemp9999. Wish I could add more on, but can only use the ones I have at home, not allowed any work units!
Has anyone noticed the stats have reset? We have 567 points and dropped to 23rd!

i was number one (37 overall) for a few moments this afternoon. :D
i was too busy to publicly gloat/simultaneously swoon at the sheer loss of points at the time.:(
FAH has the stats server offline for maintenance right now.
if they don't get the stats back, i guess it'd be time for that unified mac community team?
Sailfish - why not just script it? (dupe the files, start the client, upload data, kill the client, ditch any new files, dup the files...)
set up one fresh mac, one fresh team, and jam the system. do it on an anonymously hijacked machine with a blatant username (like senoroverandoveragain).
we'll see what happens ;)
p.s. this is not the first time i've had my ponts vanish from FAH. hope they come back this time.

Wow, I guess it has been about three weeks, I just started a new job, and switched to MacRumors about the time I started here. Musta just lost track of time. I've got a dual 2 GHz G5, three 2.66 GHz P4 desktops, a 1.6 Ghz P4 laptop, a new toshiba laptop, a 700 MHz iMac G3.
I don't know why it was showing me as having 9 processors active. I know one of my P4 desktops was messed up and I had to reset up fah on it. None of the machines are overclocked. I'm getting ready to try and build my own home pc, but need good online resources to find out exactly how to go about it.
Well guys, keep up the fold!

my skepticism subsides if it's 3 weeks. that's about 60 points/day for the 8 processors. i wish i had that kind of output...
my team, w/ about a dozen active folders, put up over 68k points yesterday. of course, that was after the stanford servers messed up and took away those points...

I have a Dual 2 Ghz G5 and a emac 800 and the stats show 10 processors active in a week.
Probably because I run 8 F@H's on my Duallie and two Cli's on my eMac.
If I wait and finish all eight F@H's, upload them all at once and then crank out dozens more within a week, it will up my active processors even more.
Now that the stats server is down, I hope we all are getting credit for those wu's turned in.
Keep on Folding fellow Mac folders!

haha, I'm just poking fun at the name thing... really I'm a Mod and I change peoples posts and then blame them for spelling stuff wrong... :p
Your signature is great... but you might want to not have to many spaces inbewteen the lines, it looks very long...
Also w/ the sig you can replace the !abc! with the acual number of points you have got with the number found here (http://folding.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/userpage?name=wdlove)
Your settings look great. A screensaver is fine and you will be saving power when your monitor turns off after __ minutes.
You are at optimum folding capabalities w/o having to look at your computer myself.
Congrats.

there might be an automatic update, though it would probably be tricky to do... just do a daily or weekly update or something.

This is a fairly popular "live" (automatically updated) source for putting your statistics into a signature line/webPage/whatHaveYou... includes all kinds of information and colors and stuff.
http://www.statgfx.com/
The plain version looks like this:
http://www.statgfx.com/statgfx/folding/?&username=jbeetz&teamid=3446&trans=yes&template=fah_original&.jpg
Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me to paste the image source link into this reply so you can see it directly -- I don't know if that has to do with my newbie-status-can't-post-pictures and all or not. So it may not work. But I've seen it used successfully in signatures on other boards so it can be done! (in theory  )

jbeetz -- There has been a thread on that image/sig creator...
But I too have been unable to get it to work... (check the thread in this forum).
As far as I know since we can't use images in our signatures anyway it serves no purpose.

Thank you shemp9999, you are a great programer. I just want to be sure, if I use this in my signature it will only update it the way it currently looks plus a dynamic update to my folding points. The reason that I ask is because when I click on the link, there is a lot of extraneous words.
I wanted to be safe than sorry. So I wanted to ask first.
So if I understand it correctly, I will erase what is in my Signature now and just paste your masterfully created link instead? :)

Thank you Dreadnought. :( I will keep an eye on this. It is correct according to Stanford at 2:50pm EST.
Looks like your points are a bit off. Just checked, your points are over 1500. And such an increase couldn't just happen overnight!

I do have 4 procesors folding now, all running at different speed. Just check the code done for me by shemp9999, it is updating itself. So could I now copy and past it into my sigature. I do wonder exactlt what I copy, the link it self has uneeded information at the bottom.

yo, been away from the box...
there is no dynamic. i tried to have it output text you could copy and replace into your sig now and again, but you also use hyperlinks in your sig, so i provided html if you wanted that. but vb blocks html in signatures, too, so that's not so good either.
you'll just have to get in the habit of updating your sig manually.

Congratulations twiztidn8v on hitting the 30000th point mark of folding.
Dreadnought, I just noticed that twiztidn8v has a link in his signature "My Stats" that allows an update. Do you know how he's doing that? If so can it be applied to us?

He linked to a picture that is automated when you click on the link. It came also along in the other thread (or in this one, somewhere above). Unfortunately we cannot put pictures in our sig, but we can link to them, like twiztidn8v did (not an easy name...).
You can copy this in your sig and change "My Stats" to the text that you prefer:
[ URL=http://gfx.statgfx.com/old/folding.cgi?&username=wdlove&border=0,0,0&custom=255,0,0&label=0,0,0&header=255,0,0&stats=255,0,0&bg color=0,0,0&trans=yes&template=fah_original&.jpg" target="_blank"]My Stats[ /URL] (I have put in two spaces, both next to the [, get them out and it works, else I couldn't show you!)
Like this:
wdlove's stats (http://gfx.statgfx.com/old/folding.cgi?&username=wdlove&border=0,0,0&custom=255,0,0&label=0,0,0&header=255,0,0&stats=255,0,0&bg color=0,0,0&trans=yes&template=fah_original&.jpg)

twiztidn8v, I need your assistance please. I really like you signature, especially the "My Stats." Dreadnought was kind enough to change the programing for my use. When I tried to put it in my signature, but got an error message, greater than 5,000. Could you explain what you were able to do to get around my problem.
This is what You can copy this in your sig and change "My Stats" to the text that you prefer: Well done by Dreadnought
Also I'm not completely clear want he mean by the last statement. Any assistance would be appreciated twiztidn8v or Dreadnought. It think that this is awesome!

What I did was start a reply to a post, and typed in what I wanted as plain type first. Then when it came for the stats I hit the insert image button and pasted the graphic URL [in your case: http://gfx.statgfx.com/old/folding.cgi?&username=wdlove&border=0,0,0&custom=255,0,0&label=0,0,0&header=255,0,0&stats=255,0,0&bg color=0,0,0&trans=yes&template=fah_original&.jpg] and then typed what I wanted it to say instead of the URL... then I copied the post, and didn't post it, and went to my CP and pasted my sig.
IM me on Yahoo! if you need any more help, you may have to cut down on the other sig stuff... you aren't allowed to exceed a certain amount of chars, and this is 215 chars... plus the img code tags...
Dreadnought

Didn't kwew that you could only put a certain amount of chars.
Well, here goes another way of doing it, pay attention wdlove:
1. go in your "usercp"
2. edit your signature
3. click on the "insert hyperlink" button
4. type any text you like (that is going to be the link!) and click on "OK"
5. copy the following behind "http://"
gfx.statgfx.com/old/folding.cgi?&username=wdlove&border=0,0,0&custom=255,0,0&label=0,0,0&header=255,0,0&stats=255,0,0&bg color=0,0,0&trans=yes&template=fah_original&.jpg" target="_blank"
6. click on "OK"
And your done. I couldn't make it easier than this!
Goodluck!
