Time lapse option in camera now..

A new mode comes to
Camera: Time-lapse videos.
Capture the experience of the sun setting, a city street bustling, or a flower blooming with the new Time-lapse mode in Camera. iOS 8 does all the work, snapping photos at dynamically selected intervals. The result is a video showing an accelerated sequence of the photos over time. Just set up your device to shoot what you want. Swipe to select Time-lapse mode, tap the Record button, and let Camera record as long as you choose.

Is this real?

The major feature I was hoping to see was the ability to view Preview files (PDF's and Text) within IOS. I did not see this feature. But interestingly enough under the iCloud app, you see a folder for GoodReader. Does this mean that you will be able to save PDF's on your Mac to GoodReader and access them on your IOS device? I know this is available now with some workarounds, but am hoping it will now be native with the two iCloud apps.

Dunno if it's been posted but a new camera feature "time lapse"

Ah I see two above me posted it hahaha
Also kinda sad hey Siri only works when plugged in but hey :)

As soon as I can get my hands on the restore file, I'll have it up and running on my iPad and I can spill the secrets.

If anyone needs help with management I would glad to help. Maybe instead of an edited forum post there should be a collab document in iCloud (or Google Drive, but iCloud cause iOS!) with the list.

First thing I thought when I saw that too. I'd probably leave dark mode on all the time, but it'd be especially useful when browsing at night . . .

It's useful in the reverse. It helps you not be blinded by the device's brightness when in a dark environment. Tweetbot has a feature that will switch the UI to dark when the auto brightness hits a certain point. It should be a feature across the OS.

Overall, a pretty nice release. I got most things on my wishlist. The other things that we didn't get that I was hoping for was real, OS X-like safari extensions (I don't want to have to tap the share button to use one) and a way to set default apps. Hopefully that multitasking iPad UI will come eventually.

Can someone confirm if there is a new beta iTunes that is required for the iOS update as well?

No new version required.

One thing I have found which wasn't mentioned is under iCloud settings. It's called 'Look Me Up By Email'

Can also confirm battery usage by app in "last 24 hours" and "last 7 days"

Well, third-party keyboards is a highlight.

I wouldn't expect it to be bundled straight off the bat though. Maybe in a few betas down the road we'll see it.

I also would never expect the "Third Party" keyboards to be installed by default.
