I only have a 13" but I just want to comment that coconut battery says my new mac is 7 weeks old. So they were making these things 7 weeks ago?

I'm guessing you got a base model? They make them before they announce them, so maybe it was one of the earlier ones? Mine was BTO so thats why its only a few weeks old.

hmm thats disappointing, my current capacity is already lower than the original capacity for my 15" i7?

UDPATE: now says 6610 mAh as current battery capacity, its going down! :(

Have you calibrated it yet?
That could possibly help.

I hadn't when I took the screenshot and I'm currently in the process of doing so right now. I will post changes if any occur.

Can someone post their 13" battery readout? I'm a little worried about mine.

Current Capacity: 5710 mAh
Original Battery Capacity: 5770 mAh (98% health)

Age=3 weeks, load cycles=2.

Timer measures around 5 hours. Should be getting WAY more, right?

I was able to get MUCH more battery life out of mine after doing a clean install of OS X. I'm not sure if they used a 15" OS X image to copy to my drive, but it helped by displayed battery time by an increase of about five hours.

I've always gone through a cycle of running it flat then charging it fully, however I'm doing a proper calibration per apple describes as I type this in a hope this improves things.

Either way I'm pretty dissapointed for the battery to degrade this soon :-(

Well good luck! Hopefully it fixes it.

But also, I wouldn't be too worried yet. Just because you've lost a little already, I wouldn't assume it would decrease at the same rate.

Battery calibration seems to have helped! Back up to 99% health (6850 mAh) at the moment. I think I'll do the same tonight and see if I can get it back up to 100% :D
