Yosemite boot time?

FAR worse. In Mavericks a 2014 11" MBA boots in about 14 seconds. In Yosemite the same fresh install of the OS takes about 25 seconds to boot.
Not sure how people are saying the same. It's significantly longer on my Macbook Pro, Macbook Air, and iMac... and many complaints online have shown such.
It is roughly the same for me. I am running a low end Mac mini, with 16 GB of RAM, and the boot time feels about the same to me.
Maybe it is the same for some people. For instance, my MBP boots up in 12 seconds in Yosemite. About the same time as Mavericks.
I call BS! Video or it doesn't happen. Nobody boots in 11 seconds on Yosemite.

Sure, let's see a video of that. BS. It takes 10 seconds just to get to the login prompt, then another 10-20 to get into a usable state of OS from THAT point.

I have to apologize, this takes 10 seconds total. Not 12 seconds, so it actually is faster than Mavericks
Ah I see what you mean. Still though, not for me. It takes me 10 seconds to get to the login prompt and then at worst 5 more seconds to get into a usable state after I type in my password, for a total of 15 seconds minus the time it takes for me to type in my password.
I took another video after I disabled the login prompt, just to see the difference. Without the login prompt, the entire boot up sequence takes 15 seconds. As you can see, after 15 seconds, I can run my script to open up all my applications:

So, for me, this is the SAME time as Mavericks.
Far worse, on Mavericks, my retina mbp takes no more than 11 seconds up to desktop, after the Apple logo on the write screen, I can't even see the spinning daisy.
Now on yosemite the loading bar takes 4,5 seconds before desktop loaded.
Much worse on Yosemite.

I just timed it with a clock. From the press of the power button to the login screen it took 15.23 seconds. From the startup sound to the login screen around 2 seconds less (so around 13 seconds). I don't have any timing so Mavericks, so I can't compare. But Yosemite is definitely not slower.
This is on the 2012 rMBP. I imagine that a newer models with PCI-e storage will be slightly faster.

I am running both 10.9.4 & 10.10 DP6 in dual-boot on a Late-2011 Macbook Pro 15-inch.
I have replaced the factory installed hard drive with a 500GB Samsung EVO SSD, and replaced both factory RAM chips with 2 G.Skill 8GB 1600MHz chips.
My boot time, from off (no power adapter), to idle (all startup apps loaded), is 4.1874 seconds (used my Garmin Sports Watch to time it), for 10.10 DP6.
My boot time, from off (no power adapter), to idle (all startup apps loaded), is 6.3299 seconds (used my Garmin Sports Watch to time it), for 10.9.4
I don't think even the new Mac Pro's can manage a time like that!
Apple REALLY NEED to step up when it comes to hardware.

I have the current Macbook Air, the current rMacbook Pro... it's always booted in 10 seconds for Mavericks, never for Yosemite.

That's most definitely not a cold boot.
Give it a break would you. Stop this silly you don't believe anyone with good numbers. If its bad for you doesn't mean its going to be that way for some others. We are now getting tired of you with challenges, and Bunk words. We don't care about your silly rants any more. Please stop it.
You're posting in a forum as an individual who hasn't even been here for a year. Can you drop using the word "we" and replace it with "I" ??? I'm simply stating it's absolutely impossible for a computer to boot from cold start in 4 seconds as one user claimed... and I'd love to see a cold start in 10 seconds to usability on Yosemite, as 2 have claimed.
If you don't want to read someone challenging what you believe, don't participate in a community forum. But definitely don't speak for others, as you seem to like to do.
I've just shown you a video of a cold boot. If you don't believe this then there's nothing you would.
