His amazing designs with hardware (industrial design) is what made Tim feel he could do amazing things with software, he's not the one actually writing the software, he's just the one who sits with his cup of coffee and pen and paper.

Yeah this. He decides what it looks like, his team codes it.

Maybe with Steve and Scoot gone iOS will get a file browser but I wouldn't count on it. At least now when I use websites that shrink photos I can upload a photo from the camera roll. When I first ran across that I was like whoa!

I would love a setting in Safari that would turn off mobile sites. I really do prefer the desktop version of sites (even if sometimes not all the functionality is there). Mobile websites suck. I'd use an app over a mobile site any day.

Oh and yes, pull down the notification screen and have easy access to turn wifi and Bluetooth on/off and adjust screen brightness.

----------

Personally, I think giving Sir Ive the reigns to the software division could prove to be a huge powerplay. He's done amazing things with the hardware, and I'm excited to see what he can do in this area as well.

Just because he's "not" a software engineer doesn't mean that he doesn't know what needs to be done. I mean, I see COUNTLESS posts about what would make the UI "better" and I doubt half of those posters know anything about software dev.

Doesn't take a Da Vinci or Van Gogh to hang a picture right side up.
Exactly. I'm sure there are countless people here who have ideas and opinions on what iOS should look like/how it should function and they're not software engineers. There are some industrial designers like Yves Behar who think hardware and software should be designed together. And one of the designers behind Microsoft's Metro/Modern UI said Apple's use of skeumorphism is not something taught in design school. Of course neither Steve nor Scott Forstall have design degrees. Scott's has a engineering degree. Engineers don't always make the best designers.

Oops I forgot to add my biggest wish when I posted my short list.

Apple please buy BiteSMS and incorporate their app into iOS 7.

I want quick settings in the notification center and the removal of Skeuomorphism in the stock apps. Apps such as the calendar and notes application look really out of date. I want them to look more modern.

Nope. Your suggestions make too much sense and are too useful. They'll never happen.

Make Siri actually understand me. And make her quicker, easier to understand. Siri will improve the most when she gets better at doing what she already does. New additions are just bonuses.

Mission Control (Multitask Bar):

This is amazing. This would make iOS unique, yet as efficient as Android. The only thing is, is this patented? Apple may not want to tread on someone else's creation.

Wow nice list..

- Expand/Collapse Lists in Notification Center
- Stocks app for iPad
- Add a single On/Off switch without going to another menu to reach it for Bluetooth (just like Airplane Mode) - Also add it for WiFi and add an arrow next to it for advanced settings

Ability to add photos to notes
Why?

Password-Protect certain notes
Again why?

Ask Siri to record Voice Memos
Siri already does this lol?

Group Chat

Excellent idea. Can't tell why this hasn't been implemented already.

Phone automatically switch to silent based on location settings

That's a nightmare. There's a reason you can only activate it with a physical button - having it turn off via software and by hardware makes for a ****ing confusing situation. It's like having one light controlled by two lightswitches. Bad enough. Now make one of the lightswitches invisible.

Combine Maps & Compass
Agreed. Should combine calculator and stocks while they're at it.

Find my iPhone renamed to Find my iDevice
This is a horribly b/anal thing. It's a name. Relax.

Live Icons for Weather and Clock
No thanks. I like my battery life.

AIRDROP for iOS!!!!!!!

It's a nightmare sharing files with your devices. Shure you can use your iCloud or Dropbox account, but without internet you are dead on the water.

Something like bump, that works with a MBP as well.
