This looks like a really solid update. I'm really looking forward to those Time Machine fixes, but I also like the fact that they addressed the iCal security issues as well.

I downloaded and installed the 420 MB update on my new MBP. Anyone know if the Starcraft issue has been resolved?

EDIT: I just tried to run it and the same thing happens. I was really hoping they would fix it this time. Oh well.

I'm on the road till tuesday so can't test it.
Damn Apple why did you have to realease it when I'm away!!:(

Same question here, D4F, especially considering that I am getting my new iMac 24" soon... ;)

Again: ANY NVIDIA DRIVER IMPROVEMENTS?

10.5.3? O RLY? Does it fix the network bug that was introduced in 10.5.2? The bug that prevents me from playing LAN games in Age of Empires and Age of Mythology?

I guess I'll just have to find out myself.

Disk Utility, Repairing Permissions now tells you it may take a few minutes to evaluate your file system before it starts repairing. At least people won't freak out anymore. Seems to be a hair faster with regard to disk utility. Dashboard moved a few Widgets up and down a bit, nothing fancy, but the whole system seems more fluid graphically and less lag with regard to going b/t windows in the Finder. Also noticed that an issue where if you tried to use multiple programs accessing the net, ie Safari bringing a page up and running Software Update, Software Update would take forever to search for updates, has been resolved it seems.

Good update so far and these are just surface observations.

Oh, one more thing...... After the update I actually ended up with 300MB more HD space than I had before. :) I guess this update is taking out a bit of trash too. :)

Up and Running

Downloaded and Install, the restart hanged for some reason for my MBP. After restart boot was longer than usual. Otherwise all systems go with no problems.

Just finished installing and spaces is so snappy now. It actually moves faster. Like I wasn't even expecting it and its just smoother. It works like I always wanted it to also! Photoshop fades in and out beautifully when switching between apps. Before it would turn gray and make some tools not work. Heres to hoping that this is only one of the many fixes on my list that has been addressed!!

What makes this confusing for the cautious bystanders is the fact that we might not here from the less fortunate upgraders for days. :D

Does Apple have a list somewhere of the camera RAW formats OSX now supports? I keep seeing these "several new cameras" in updates, but since my Panasonic isn't (yet, anyway) supported I keep having to just try and open something.

Speaking of which, if it DOES support your camera, does that mean Preview will recognize it's RAW images, or is this specific to iPhoto (and if so, which version)?

I just hope it fixes the Casio Exilim issue.

What kind of issue do you have with your Exilim Camera?
(Just curious, because I also have one, but never connect it directly to the Mac. I always use an CardReader to get the pictures off the camera.)

In my macbook, I really hope this will fix that problem with some Wi-Fi hotspots, when you can get a full signal bar, a green "connected" indicator in system preferences, an IP number, but STILL you can't navigate, or connect to any server.

At the sime time, your friends using PCs at your side are online using their notebooks!!!

What is the advantage of the combo update?

I've seen many hear doing that, and I am curious of the benefits of it.

Thanks,:)

Only thing I noticed so far is that it switched "Adjust display brightness to ambient light" (or whatever it's called) back on :D

Hmmm, opening the .Mac preferences pane opens a connection to Apple (alerted via LittleSnitch). That's definitely new.

"Includes additional RAW image support for several cameras."

Does anybody know where I can see which cameras are now supported?
