I don't understand, I used to listen to Apple radio stations for free. I'm not talking about Beats. It's still doing it, I'm not going to sign up for their service to listen to stations I used to listen to for free. I'll just go back to using Pandora.

Yes, thank you for your insightful post. No forum posts ever go off topic, nor should they ever, right? My post is actually on topic, the Apple Music app having issues. But it seems perhaps the "issue" is that Apple wants us to pay for using all radio stations now, where as some used to be free. No thanks Apple, good luck with that.

Your post is off-topic as it does not relate to the broken AM search "issue", and doesn't have anything to do with the music app not working correctly. iTunes radio is no longer free. The article announcing the change is still on the "front page" of this site: https://www.macrumors.com/2016/01/29/apple-ceases-free-itunes-radio/

I got a DM this morning from @applemusichelp on Twitter and they asked me to once again restart my phone and they thought it would work and it did so apparently it's fixed. Anyone else still having problems?

Mine started working last night after I logged out of AM, hard reset, and then logged back in after turning iCloud music library back on in settings. Unfortunately, the phone had to resync all of my AM playlists and added music, but afterwards was fine.

Someone posted a fix on Twitter that worked for me:

Several Apple Music subscribers this morning are experiencing issues when searching for new music in the Music app on iOS devices.

Many users are reporting that typing a search query into the Apple Music search bar fails to return results, while others are receiving results but seeing a blank screen when tapping the track or artist name for further information.

Quitting the Music app does not solve the issue, nor does restarting the device, while iOS version does not seem to be a factor either.

The problem is trending on Twitter and in Apple Support Communities discussions, and is affecting users around the world, but appears to be restricted to iOS at this time, since Mac users are unable to replicate the issue in the iTunes desktop app.

The issue looks to be with Apple's servers and will likely be resolved when the service is corrected on their end.

Thank you for being the on topic police. It must sure be a blast to hang out with you on a Friday night. As for your insightful response about it still being front page news, its not on my front page, but thanks for providing a link.

The best thing about Spotify vs Apple Music is that Spotify is its own distinct app, rather than trying to roll it all into one app. I like keeping my own music collection distinct and separate from my "rented" music.
You know there is a setting to only show your own music on the app, right?

I'm still having this issue. Apple Music search doesn't work in iTunes, and I just realized the other tabs aren't work either. This has been happening for a few days.

Still having this issue as well on my iPhone. Was fine for a couple days and now this again. Figures it just renewed yesterday, too...

In the post title: "some" should be replaced with "most" (or even: "all"). In my opinion the problem is with not search, but with… Connect (they are working currently in the background over this feature).
