UPS doesn't work on weekends. I hate USPS too, so maybe they'll use FedEx for this. Doubt it though. Their contracts seem to be heavily weighted to the boys in brown.
UPS does Next Day, Second Day Air, and International on Saturday. It is possible that it isn't part of the Apple contract.

Preparing for shipment, I'm guessing it will change to shipped maybe midnight or early morning I think thats when shipments usually take place, it's my theory at least.
Not cool bro. Not cool.
I thought you meant it changed to shipped cuz that's what we are all waiting for. Most have already had it change to PFS

We should have an answer within the next 1-2 hours if they will be delivering tomorrow, or Friday at earliest... in order for most shipments to hit the main shipping spine they need to be turned over by 4-5pm for acknowledgement by the carriers. If by 5PM EST we haven't seen any movement that means that pending shipment means you probably have one reserved and it will ship out on Thursday.

Not necessarily. Could be 7 or even 8 since 5pm cut off is for regular customers. Does not apply to apple. The only restrain is the flight time outbound the hub.

Not sure if this has been said but. The new Apple TV is now quoting 1-3 days shipping instead of 3-5 days. Doesn't really matter at this point I guess but supply looks good.

I'm in Australia and Apple just sent me an email and text saying I will be receiving my Apple TV 4 tomorrow (30th October)! Marked as shipped on the website too. Stoked I will have something to do on the weekend.

I liked the review. It is exactly what I was expecting. A better UI, wireless AC, and faster processor.

Kind of bummed about this...

"Siri is also totally disconnected from Siri on the iPhone — you can’t tell Siri on your phone to play a song or video on your TV, which seems like another huge missed opportunity. And bafflingly, Siri can’t control Apple Music, so asking to play a Taylor Swift song results in nothing. "Sorry, I can’t help you with music," says the screen. Siri says sorry about a lot of things.

And in the biggest oversight, Siri can’t search for apps in the App Store, or even take dictation into the text field of the App Store search screen"

Same here, BUT: delivery is via StarTrack Express

My last "next day" delivery with that courier (an iPhone) took a week, since the first driver couldn't find my company address and returned the package to sender

There's no expedited shipping option outside of the US

Yeah there was only one option for me.

Oh is it? I hate StarTrack. I live in a group of units and they always just card me in my letterbox without even looking for my unit. Worst. If they do that tomorrow I will rage

Seeing preparing for shipping, so there is hope I may get this in my hands Friday. I did pop for overnight shipping.

I hope it is easy to set up because I'll be busy passing out candy for Halloween.

Off course you will get on Friday. Your order status is PFS plus you chose overnight shipping. Now clean your tv stand and make room for ATV 4 ,)

I think you mean UPS (United Parcel Service) not USPS (United States Postal Service).

I've never known Apple to use USPS.

Yes, I'm sure it was an oversight--they just forgot all about it. It couldn't be that it's just a feature that didn't ship with this version of the software for technical reasons. Baffling indeed.

I don't know if I have ever gotten an Apple Product via UPS. Maybe 1? Always Fedex.

You joke but just today I was thinking, hmmm I better clean up the tv stand for my ATV 4. I'm planning to "prep" and when it gets here I'll just plug it in an go. OCD? Yes

Whatever you want to call it, it's something that would have added a pretty neat functionality, another piece of wow factor. They didn't and it's a little less useful. Hopefully something like that is available in an update. Seems like e point of having everything in one ecosystem.

For what it's worth, this seemed to work for David Pogue:

Apple Music is here, too, so if you’re paying Apple $10 a month for that service, you can say, “Play Harry Connick Jr.” (or any album, song, or performer you can think of) for instant playback. For some people, that’s a killer app right there.

Edit: Apparently not. He's updated it to say how nice it would be if it did work, and buzzfeed is reporting it'll be coming in an update 'early next year' :(
