Still stands anyone who thinks Samsung did this on purpose is truly brainwashed by Apple RDF field and clearly can not think for themselves.

Don't get me wrong. I don't believe Samsung did it on purpose. I do believe some clueless designer did it yet at the same time I believe Samsung simply doesn't care.

They have done this type of thing before.

Well, Apple did that weird thing with the backwards 3GS in that one ad, or used a 3GS when they meant iPhone 4 or something. I forget now. It's kinda the same thing.

oh, wait, no it's not. :D

Oh give it a rest. If it was Apple caught using Samsung graphics you’d have been all over it.

No I would of written it off as an honest yet very embarrassing mistake for Apple.

You have proven that you have the belief that anyone who does not worship Apple must hate them.

I would bet a lot of money that no one from Samsung has ever visited this store, just like I would bet that Apple hasn't sent someone to visit all of their in-store displays.

Remember that Euronics stores are independently owned (and likely independently decorated). This wall could have been designed and created by the owner of the store, who might never have met anyone from Samsung as the Samsung display might have been provided by Euronics for use in all of their branded stores.

Also not pictured - probably all of the other phone manufacturers' handsets on sale to the right of the picture, with the "App Wall" continuing across all of them.

Is this really surprising?

Look at how they operate:

https://forums.macrumors.com/posts/13394128/

What they've done in this case they probably consider perfectly normal. That's the scary part. It certainly seems they consider a lot of shady and dubious activity perfectly normal. It appears this is the way they have always operated. It seems to be ingrained in their corporate culture.

One would think you'd look up the facts before launching into judgement on this.

So is this another example of journalism bending the truth to the point that it is lie?
Got to love how they can play on the people in the Apple RDF field.

Still I believe that Apple are such perfectionists that they do regularly inspects *all* their stores for the slightest decorating error or other problems.

Why would they?? That wouldn't make any sense.

The most you can accuse Samsung is they don't police each of their stores as fanatically as Apple does. It was obviously some local yokel who put up the Apple icons.

This isn't Samsung's store. It isn't owned by Euronics either:

EURONICS is an international organisation of independent electrical retailers who have joined together to form a cooperative partnership. Together, we constitute Europe’s largest electrical buying group and its second largest consumer electronics retailer.

All our more than 10,500 stores are specialists in electrical and electronic products. From high definition TVs and DVD recorders to digital cameras and personal computers and from state-of-the-art domestic appliances to telecommunications and navigation devices, there’s a EURONICS store near you offering the latest products from the top brand names.

As independent specialist retailers, EURONICS stores are largely owner-managed. Unlike large, mass-market discount centres, we take pride in the excellence of our customer service and our extensive knowledge of our high quality innovative products. The secret of our success is that we take the time to know our customers and our products, enabling us to provide an unparalleled personalised service at competitive prices.

You have proven that you have the belief that anyone who does not worship Apple must hate them.

Ah so essentially what you’re saying is that anyone who criticizes someone criticizing Apple is automatically a narrow minded Apple worshipping fanboy.
That puts you in the same moral vessel as those you rally against.
I welcome critique aimed at Apple as long as it’s done in a semi intelligent and well informed, non-biased manner. Your typo riddled attempts fall way short of the mark.

So basically you are saying Samsung did this on purpose?

Sorry it is kind of hard to have an intelligent argument with anyone who believes that and automatically proves a very bias view.

Sure you would. Let's see you said Apple is totally at fault here (for the record, the Court disagrees with you and Samsung):

Not really it shows the solution Apple is trying to patent is obvious so therefor it should never of been granted and thus invalid.

who says that it is not coming. They could just start showing old examples but 2001 is the oldest just to start showing that this was a clear solution way back when. Star Trek TNG and ENT could be next.

I did? Read my post again. I think my words must’ve bounced off of that tin-foil hat you’re wearing as an RDS-shield. ;)

I have to admit, I sniggered a bit at the thought of you thinking your posts in this thread as attempts at an intelligent argument. About a couple of abused icons? Lighten up :D

Considering that was on a different topic regarding the BS patent regarding the black slab tablet and not something that was clearly an embarrassing mistake. Both those show something is clearly wrong with the patent system on the fact that the black slab got approved.
Also it fails to anything but prove my statement that about Apple fans views of the if you are not 100% apple worshiper you are an Apple hater.

This is not the first time I've seen this sort of thing.

Sony cocked up in the past by using Forza 3 screenshots when advertising GranTurismo 5 in an official Sony site, I remember some TouchPad/Playbook ad showing the tablet running Honeycomb and the iPhone maps on Android that KnightWRX posted earlier.

If it was intentionally done, Samsung should be ashamed. If it's an error, Samsung should really be screening this type of thing to make sure it doesn't happen given the (very public) tensions between Samsung and Apple.

Either way, I think this is very embarrassing. Very silly error on Samsung's part.

Here's more of my "bias view."

http://9to5mac.com/2011/09/24/oh-samsung-you-are-making-this-too-easy/

Oh Samsung, you are making this too easy

“Having a look at the otherwise impressive Galaxy S II phones from Samsung, I noticed that the USB AC power adapter had a ‘familiar’ feel to it to it,” 9 to 5 Mac reports.
“Turns out, it is almost an exact replica, within a millimeter in every direction,” 9 to 5 Mac reports.

“As you can imagine they both put out the same power, 5V at 1A,” 9 to 5 Mac reports.

Bottom line:

* Samsung does copy the hell out of Apple products
* Samsung does not have iron-fisted control over retail locations that feature their products like Apple does; wanna bet Apple even inspects Best Buy?

Not BS patent. It's only a "black slab" to those clueless about how patents work.

And yet another court threw out the exact same patent. What is your point?
No matter how the court rules does not change the fact that the patent is BS and the patent system needs a drastic overhaul. Court rule in favor of Apple shows use that something is massively wrong with patent law to begin with.

Either way this does nothing to prove your original argument that I would be all over Apple and call it anything more than an embarrassing mistake. You more proved a point on Apple fans that if you do not worship Apple you are a 100% against them.

While not the best case for Samsung the fact that it is from an Apple fanboy site kind of makes it not worth much. Also I would say Samsung could of used a better design but at the same token Apple and Samsung could be using the same supplier for that part so the external molds get reused.
I will say the design like Apple is well not exactly an Apple only design. I am pretty sure I have seen some other brands that look a lot like it in terms of shape that I could buy off the store shelves.

That being said Samsung copying that Apple design of a charger was pretty stupid. I am sorry but the Apple wall charger design is complete crap. Reason for it is you can not fold in the plugs.

What does that matter??

The photos are what they are. Open up a Galaxy SII box and it's right there. My dog could report it and it would still be right.

Amazing how Samsung keeps getting involved in these "coincidences" on a regular basis. And it has to keep being them in particular for some reason.
