What are you talking about? What does that have to do with a phone having more cores than a iMac?

Chasing silly numbers (such a number of cores or clock GHz) can be counter-productive. Might be better to say "No" to such. Instead spend the engineering time on hidden innovations, such as decreasing a processors branch prediction miss penalty, etc., which might actually benefit the user more (in terms of battery life).

What phone? Also your definition of innovation is crap if you think it means cramming the most specs into something cheap.

Coolpad 7320 - with octa core MTK6592 , 13MP Camera and 5.5" HD 1280X720 screen ,
costs $149-$157 together with shipping from China by Singapore Post for 2 weeks delivery

Coolpad is a large Chinese brand, which was founded in 1993. They are manufacturing about 10% of world smartphone market, according to 2012 estimates. They provide 1 year warranty service and software updates for their products.
They have such low prices just because their main focus is Chinese market, where people couldnt afford paying much

In short: 1) it isn't a no-name crap 2) it is quite a good bang for the buck
