The devices IMHO are lagging compared to rest just a bit.
I think the ability to read/write USB flash drives is highly desirable from what a lot of people as me.

Apple really needs to up its game.

That example isn't lag though so much as full intent to not support storage other than the internal flash and iCloud. So I'm not sure we're going to see any change here.

I think so too, and that is a shame.
Co-workers of mine travel to work in very remote places and the inability to use a USB flash disk makes the iPad a no go. Apple is literally forcing them to go to Android (or Win).

And yes, wireless connections (cell or Wi-Fi) is also not available, not an option.

(and before some say iPad is not meant to be used outside a wireless network zone, I ask why? )
