I hate to admit, I laughed, because how plausible the idea of a lawsuit over a waste bin is. I'd love to be the lawyers in the case, because you know that both sides would get together over drinks and laugh.

I didn't cherry pick anything. I'm just calling BS on all this real-world nonsense. Complain all you want that the new trash can is boring, doesn't have enough detail, depth, etc. but don't give me this real world BS. I'll bet more people have trash bins that look like the Yosemite icon than the Mavericks one.
