I remember a TV show we had out here about UK driving instructors a few years back. I forget the name but it was possibly the worst show ever. The process seemed a little more trying than what I had to go through. :)
Was it called something like "Driving School"? I seem to remember a programme called that, with an old woman called Maureen who couldn't drive for ****, and her husband was a despairing bus-driver!

Very tabloid though... :p

That's exactly it! I remember Maureen, man she was a bad driver. Quite a sad case that one.

Anyway, good luck with your test. I hope you get a good instructor and pass.

im 16 now and am just awaiting my laziness to call a driving school to log 6 hours behind the wheel so i can get my permit, i passed my school written test with a 98...stupid new jersey:mad: .

Learn to drive at 15, although some would argue I'm still learning...

by "some" I mean most of te curbs in my town. I'm not proud. But I have never caused an acccident or injury to anyone...

15 1/2

...like most high school kids taking driver's ed as was the case in the 1970s in california...i don't know if that's still the case of if someone could drive younger

in rural areas like mine, some kids were permitted a license earlier since they had to drive farm equipment and trucks a couple of years earlier

Got my learner licence at 17. Minimum age is 15, but I simply didn't need one earlier. Didn't get around to getting my "full" until 20.

I had to get it again because I lost the first one when I was pulled over for not wearing shoes

Somebody told me that you need to wear shoes while driving in NZ. I looked in the road code and couldn't find anything though.
