Hi guys, So I recently got a new macbook and in the past have used mail w/ my gmail account. When I used mail as pop, and tried to get my emails onto my computer, only very recent ones came onto my computer. How do I get the others? What did I do wrong?

try going the POP settings in gmail and set "Enable all email ever" rather than just the email that has arrived since a certain date. that should work.

You have to go to your Gmail preferences and reset it somehow, I forget the exact method, but it's clearly explained through Gmail preferences. It just pushes everything down the first time you set it up again....

Edit: As above.

Go to gmail website, log in, click on settings->Forwarding and Pop

Select "Enable POP for all mail"

Now go back to mail.app and click on get mail. All your mail should now be downloaded to mail.app
