How do you like them? I was looking at the HD7 DJ

Only had them for about a day now. They are great given the type of headphones that they are (closed back, circumaural). The mids are clear and tight, the bass is strong as you would expect for DJ cans. The highs are laid back, but I have corrected that with my EQ settings.

I think it would do much better with a DAC/amp, but they are efficient enough to be driven directly from an iPod or phone.

All in all, they are very good for the price ($350). If your budget can stretch, you may want to consider the Shure 1540 if you are looking specifically for a closed, over the ear set.

Jaybird Bluebuds X for the gym

I want these for when i'm riding my bike. I have my phone mounted on the handlebars and right now i'm using wired headphones (which I LOVE, actually), but i'd rather not be tethered to the bike in case I need to jump off quick or something like that happens.

My problem is that I have really sensitive ears and those headphones that go into your ears like ear plugs kill my ears. The Bluebuds look smaller, though. I really can't decide if I want to get them.

How do you like them?

Currently, I use the Bose MIE2i and the way they fit into my ears is heavenly. I'm not obsessed with sound quality past a certain point, so they are perfect for me, sans the whole wire thing.

You get used to it, especially while you are active and thinking of other things besides something being in your ear. The rubber tips and wings that come with them aren't the best. I find that when you get sweaty they tend to fall out, especially while running. I purchased some foam Comply tips on Amazon and they stay in perfectly, I don't even need the wings.

Bah, this is MacRumors! We're all about buying stuff that other people consider overpriced, aren't we? ;)

Of course. I remember when the original VAMP went on sale for $200 on amazon two Christmases ago. Even though that's because it was being discontinued soon, I secretly hope that happens for the Verza too.

Hello fellow Head-Fi member :D

How do like that VAMP Verza ? I wonder how it'll work with high impedance units like the 650, DT 990 [ 250 / 600 OHM ] ... etc..

I'm currently rotating between the B&W C5, Grado SR325is, and the ATH-M50x.
