There are numerous posts and threads related to Apple's shipping policies. The Apple Store's two-day shipping option only works if the item is in stock at a local distribution center. It does not cover products that are manufactured in CN and shipped to a destination country.

Unfortunately, Apple does not make note of this on their ordering page. For future reference, pre-ordered and custom configured products (at the factory) will ship via the methods below (despite which option you selected).

Generally, products shipped from CN to the United States are shipped via FedEx IP Direct Distribution. Multiple items are shipped on large pallets and then unbundled at a FedEx distribution center. From there, they are individually tagged and generally delivered within three business days.

Pre-ordered software items such as Mac OS X and iLife are shipped via two day and overnight to arrive at their destinations the day of release. Normally, these products arrive the day-of or day-before general availability.

You need to call Apple and request a shipping refund.

Rule of thumb: If the item is pre-ordered, new, in high-demand or custom-configured go with standard shipping. If the item has been available for a while (such as cables or power adapters) go with express shipping if you need it.
