Watching Bloomberg, I thought we just won't have JCPenny anymore seeing how things are going.
JCPenney's biggest problem is probably perception more than anything else nowadays. Make of that what you wish!

Wowow.. another samsung idea to copy apples
BBY is up 50% since the first of the year.
No kidding, apple invented the concept of a store within a store, at no other poi in history did the concept of a store within a store exist.
are you joking?
No I am not joking, apple invented everything including the concept of a portable phone and then thieves like samesung just steals Apple's creations.
Why wouldn't people? Well, because Best Buy now requires ID for ALL returns, even if you have a receipt. They put that information (including Address and Phone number) in a database and that database has already been hacked several times and used for identity theft. The criminals are even able to cross reference credit card numbers and run up massive charges.
Do people actually still physically shop at Best Buy?
Now imagine a Best Buy in an actual mall.
Yo dawg...
Samsung has had in store shops for years in a lot of different countries. Even before the smartphone wars.
OMG I cant believe how some people are so blinded and closed minded. All you do is keep repeating crap like..oh now they are coping Apple...without Apple blah blah blah..your like robots. Even when someone throws out a valid point about how Samsung has already had this in other places..or that Sony has had this before Apple...you ignore the facts...
Despite what you may think, not ALL of us are sitting at a computer 24/7.Do people actually still physically shop at Best Buy?
More copying? How about motorola.... or blackberry store?
I love Best Buy.
Me too, they enable me to compare prices and confirm that I usually buy everything much cheaper than what they price items at.
If gasoline was free and the internet did not exist, that would actually make sense.
Because Apple was the first company to essentially do an "exploded" kiosk store-ina-store idea before...
Maybe this is part of best buy's turnaround effort. Build a mini apple store, mini samsung store, mini sony store, mini acer store, etc.
Let's put aside the "Apple vs Samsung" debate for a moment... can anyone else see future stores being nothing but company stores? Best Buy is turning into a mall-within-a-mall.
