U.S. iPad Pre-Orders Set to Begin at 5:30 AM Pacific Time Tomorrow

Did anyone get a confirmation email when reserving one at their nearest Apple Store? I haven't yet & when I tried to reserve another, they told me I can only reserve one per email.

One might expect that their email servers are a bit busy this morning.

People seem to forget that email is not an instant process.

Well I finally got my notification emails from Apple. 8:27 AM Central Time, almost a full hour after it actually was available.

The 'page' links for this forum isn't working right; shows 15 pages but only allows loading 14. Happened earlier until a few more comments came on.

Of course they will, that's the point of the pre-orders. They are going to use the numbers to allocate correctly. Apple is usually a master at chain supply management.

In for the 16gb WiFi. Will get Applecare within a year.

I wonder if the iPad preorders have yet suprassed the entire sales numbers for last year for the Kindle?

Everything I've ordered has arrived the same day as in-store. They overnight ship to my home via FedEx.

I pre ordered the 16gb wifi and the 3g... I dont have a card authorization on my account for the wifi, but I do for the amount of the 3g? anyone else see that?

Earlier I said I wouldn't reserve, but I changed my mind and did. And changed my travel plans to be at an Apple Store on the 3rd. Must have gotten nervous about a sellout.
