I’m unable to type in any text field on this and several other sites using my Magic Keyboard. I’ve had to detach the iPP to use the onscreen keyboard which functions without issue. On a couple sites I could type very slowly to get letters to appear, but on most the cursor quickly disappears and no letters can be entered. I’ve not experienced any of this prior to beta 5.

I had some minor keyboard issues with beta 1…but nothing like the problems in beta 5

The problem is so prevalent it is really hard to do anything using the magic keyboard. Really surprised this was not noticed in internal testing. Counting the days until beta 6

I’ve detached mine from the keyboard for now. Just using the onscreen keyboard; it’s too frustrating otherwise.

Yes this is completely broken, not sure I can survive 2 weeks like this without doing a restore to iPadOS 26.

Feedback Assistant already shows it as more than 10 so it must be bad. This is my report number if anyone wants to reference it - FB24256581

I'm having various issues relating to clicking some navigation menus and search icons in Safari. It doesn't work with the Magic Keyboard or by touch. It works in other browsers.

I'm installing the previous beta now.
I found a couple sites where tapping on search icons didn’t work. Other links along side did but not search. This is an update to avoid for those who haven’t installed it.

Installing the previous beta resolved it for me, but it wiped out all my Messages. (I don’t use Messages in iCloud.)

Those issues were too annoying for me to deal with until the next beta.

Same here. I’m going to see how it is in the morning.

I’ve got the same issue with tapping menu/navigation bars on various websites. Amazon is the most notable culprit so far although my gym booking website menu bar doesn’t work either.

I've always had magic Keyboard issues - I've noticed these in b5, but even in 18/26 I have an issue where it acts like the CMD key is held down in safari/browsers (it'll open in new tabs till I press CMD once... quitting and opening the app resets it again, so not an actual stuck key... sigh)

I experienced the same issue; additionally, I encountered a further bug.

Creating a new reminder in Reminders as the last entry does not work. This behavior is only with the Magic Keyboard. Only a new entry can be added between existing entries. (The same with Pages…)

After a "restart" of the iPad Pro, this behavior disappeared.

All further issues have already been reported to Apple by me. Thank you for confirming that I am not alone in this experience.

How do you go back to previous beta? It’s only been a day, but the Magic Keyboard issue is already killing me.

I’ve heard from one other person who says his is normal as well. But a lot more of us are seeing the issue. No clue yet whether it might be specific to a particular model, but it reached “more than 10” status in Feedback Assistant faster than any other bug I’ve reported.

I’m seriously considering downgrading but I have a bunch of videos stored locally on my iPad that I’d have to re-load and the files app is so finicky with reading portable SSDs. Any ideas when the next developer beta comes out?

I’m having the same issues with the mini keyboard (when using Apple Pencil) as well as Bluetooth Apple Magic Keyboard. How can I see you entry in my copy of feedback assistant?

Wow not sure how that would be possible

I’m on iPad Pro 13” M5 with Magic Keyboard
I restored back to iOS 26
There are a few sites where I can get it to work normally so this may vary between users but not on my most frequently visited sites. Even on the ones that work there are various other glitches that seem to be a Safari issue. All in all this is a messed up release.

Where I have had trouble with my Bluetooth Magic Keyboard and the mini on screen keyboard when using my pencil pro as I have posted above. Today I decided to attach my iPad Pro M5 to the to my Magic Keyboard (with function rows on top). I am typing this post with it now. The olny problem I had was auto-capitalization did not work. The problem was solved be toggling the auto-capitalization function in settings for both keyboard and hardware keyboard off then on again.

I cannot stand not being able to click navigation icons.
