I used Macs back in 2003 at community college and liked them wayyy better than the windows machines. In 2006 I used my grant money to buy a white Macbook. The first intel model. Apple was running an Edu special, free iPod 1st gen nano with the Macbook. The nano came in the mail before the Macbook so it was pretty awkward because I never owned an iPod and couldn't do anything with it really until the Macbook came 3 days later.

my first apple products was a 15 inch macbook pro and a 80gb ipod that I got for free because of the school promo. Way way better back in the day. Free ipod >>>>>>> $100 bucks to itunes store. Who actually buys movies/music :)

Any way I found the ipod and macbook pro in my basement. Both work. The ipod is very beat up. I use to go mountain biking with it but still works and holds a very good charge. The macbook pro which is a 2006 model think it was the 1st intel one. Runs insanely hot and the battery for it is dead. I am going to test it out for a couple days then give it to my godfather who is in his 60s that doesn't have a computer. Still pretty fast tho the track pad does funny thiings. I will see how much it cost to upgrade the ram or if any of my friends have spare ram they dont want. Its only on 512mbs:eek:

160 gb ipod classic. According to Wikipedia it's 6.5 Gen. Really wish apple would release a new model with flash storage, or just an update in general, but I know that is most likely never going to happen. So very happy with it, still runs very well.

G4 iBook although I bought a G5 iMac for my wife a few months earlier. She still misses that iMac, although I don't miss the iBook because it was awfully slow.

(Pictured -- actual ones we had).

The first Apple product that was all my own was a Macintosh 128k. It was a hand-me-down from my mother, who had actually purchased it while pregnant with me. Of course it was pretty obsolete by the time I got it, but still I spent hours on it almost every day. Mostly playing in MacPaint IIRC.

While looking through some old photographs (the film variety :p), I ran across this pic of the old gal:

It was a Powermac 7500 and 1710 AV display. The hard drive died a slow death toward the end of the warranty and I negotiated an 8600 replacement for their failure to fix it in a timely manner. I think the statute of limitations has lapsed on the paperwork I signed.

I'm pretty sure my first was one of these little guys, which are still the best looking iPods in my angry, dangerous opinion:

My first was a iPhone 3G. I went swimming with it in the ocean about a month or so I think after buying it. It wasn't a huge fan lol.

I honestly can't remember which one was first, probably the eMac 1Ghz. I still own both, and they both still work.

Very first Apple product:

pan1518_lrg.jpg

First Gen Shuffle. 512MB of music. Used it for two-five months till this replaced it:

iPod_Video-1000x1000.jpg

30GB iPod Video 5th Gen. A month after getting it, what happened? Oh yeah, the 5.5 Gen came out.

apple-mbp2011-13-frontface_osx-lg.jpg

Very first Mac of my own. I used PCs before moving to the Mac.
2009 13" MBP. 2.26GHz, 2GB of RAM, 500GB HDD. Christmas present from the family. Certified refurbished. An AASP screwed it up so Apple replaced it with a 2.4GHz 2010 model which is still kicking. That was replaced by the most expensive Mac I have ordered new to date:

752.jpg

Early 2011 MBP 15". Completely CTO minus the RAM. 2.3GHz i7, 4GB of RAM, Glossy Hi-Res display, 128GB SSD (first one, ordered it from Apple because SSDs were uncharted territory for me and if something got messed up Apple would cover it). Awesome machine. It fell victim to Radeon-gate before the "Radeon-gate" term was coined. A month after I bought AppleCare and it had just kicked in, they decided to replace it after 5 lobos. Got my first Retina after that.

My first was my iPhone 5, but my cousins had an Apple IIe computer when we were very young. We played A LOT of Oregon Trail on it.

If I had a dollar for every time I died of dysentery and then invested those dollars in Apple, I would have been able to retire a multi-gazillionaire by now.
