My original iPhone was week 33

Just got a replacement, week 38. This one feels MUCH better in my hand, more sturdy. I hope I get better battery life (compared to 5 hours usage before).

My battery seems to be lasting longer and I've not done anything to it other than the first day I drained it to 1%, charged it all the way.. then the battery would deplete quickly, but after regularly charging it for the last couple weeks, now the charge is holding great. Maybe there is a conditioning period for the batteries and some folks are not giving enough time for the batteries to work properly?

First unit -- Pre-ordered on Sept 22, received it on Oct 2: production week 37 (September).
The screen was clicking down in the bottom right corner and I exchanged it at the Apple store for a replacement unit.

Replacement unit -- Oct 10: production week 37 also!
This one is very solid, no creaking, no scuffs.

----------

I am not seeing much correlation on these posts between the production week and the quality control.

Week 40

Both phones ordered on Oct 5 at apple.com (10 pm lotto) with in store pickup on Oct 6.

Black 32G VZ week 39 (Sept)
White 32G VZ week 40 (Oct)

Both appear to be flawless.

My original was week 33 with nicks and gouges. Replacement is week 38 and so far seems perfect... This may seem weird but even the genius acknowledged it - the slate part seems darker; my orignal seemed like a shiny blue.

This does seem to lend weight that as the weeks go on the quality is improving.

I'll be picking mine up today and this is one of the things i'll be checking.

Edit:

Week 38.
Perfect.
No WiFi Issue.
No 'clicky' front screen.

Factory is : c3

Anyone know what this is as some factory details posted say foxconn etc.

Picked it up on launch day.

- No scuffs out of the box/no scuffs since I've been using it
- No wifi issues
- Screen doesn't seem to have a yellow tint
- Battery tends to last around 8 hours of usage which is youtube, games, calls, whatsapp/imessage and browsing on a mix of wifi and 3G (mostly 3G)

Very satisfied and grateful that I don't have any of the issues that others have been unfortunately suffering from.

Wow, I just purchased an iPhone 5 yesterday at the Apple Store, and it's a week 32, one of the oldest batches available. Pretty weird that it's only now been sold  .

I wonder if it was a return that was sealed and they resold it to you. I purchased my iphone 5 on thursday and it was a week 40.
