The other day, I was reading USAToday, some technology writer mentioned on his article that music downloaded from iTunes will only work on iPod, because they are using Apple's own coding instead of MP3.
Obviously, this writer doesn't even own an iPod or have no clue what AAC format is. Apple is not using its own format, AAC is industry standard format (MP4 to be in plain English) Which has smaller file size than MP3 and much better quality. If your MP3 player supports AAC codec, you will be able to play music downloaded from iTunes.
