Ha. So I put myself out there as specialist baiting the cylons. That part worked, but we killed rick, who I was trying to get to protect me  I was sure it was Queen or Moyank.

Also, I'm feeling pretty violated after all of that scanning on night one.

Major props to ravenvii for running a fantastic game.

I'm jealous. I'd LOVE to be scanned by Athena and Six. *ronwink*

Well, I wanted you to until I said I wasn't. Too bad we killed the starbuck.

I thought it was going to be pretty obvious when I offered Tomorrow an out by saving Comeagain? was a specialist. My reading of his role led me to believe he should have known the exact role Comeagain? had.

Well done flesh beasts!

Some behind the scenes for you.

I sent the order to kill Comeagain? before Koodauw accused Comeagain? It was pure coincidence, nothing more.

Up until Don't Panic's death, everything was chosen by a random number generator. I was advised to kill this person or that person because person x said thing y. Their suggestions would have worked sometimes but would have failed other times... basically the proof wasn't there, it just happened they were right some and wrong some. It would have helped sometimes but not others.

I almost always sent kill orders before the lynching was completed, or right when they happened. I knew cylon kills had to happen but other orders did not, so I was hoping to encourage a faster night game, hoping some specials wouldn't be able to make their play.

The reason for attacking chrmjenkins was because I didn't actually believe he was a specialist. He said he and Comeagain? were specialists but I was told by Plutonus that Comeagain? was a citizen after Plutonus scanned Comeagain?. That brought into question chrmjenkin's statement. Why Plutonus sent wrong information, no idea.

On my final day I decided to taunt (hope nobody took offense, it was more to add flavor before death) since it was pretty much assured I was going to be lynched anyway. Otherwise I played my external role just as much as I would if I were a plain citizen, even if it meant helping. Until my 'turning' the day of my death, I was 100% honest. Of course this means next game I'll be killed off straight away and nobody will ever believe me to be a citizen again.

Once Sythas was scanned, I never sent him a PM. I don't know if ravenvii ever communicated to Sythas that I was Six, but frankly Sythas was going to die and had already given up information to the humans the day before, so I felt no obligation to confer with him.

We never really coordinated behind the scenes for voting or public statements. Everybody voted for and stated whatever information they wanted to independently. Maybe to our detriment, but it got us fairly far I think.

Overall I had fun. It's the first time I've had a key role I think and my usual empty PM box has way too many PMs to clear out now. I enjoyed the narrative, but I do think there may have been some missteps in revealing. Even the first day when it was announced that there was a traitor, I could see that as being confusing, since I knew Baltar had not made contact. Also it was revealed that the 1st cylon killed was Cavil when in my opinion it should have just said cylon instead. Similar with the citizen deaths, it should have always just been plain citizen instead of inferring their roles in the story. That's my thoughts anyway, I may be wrong. However, I don't think it changed the outcome of the final game much if at all and even if it did, at the end of the day it's just a game.

Man, that was somehow confusing me as hell last minute! I actually thought you were the specialist trying to make cylons think you were Starbuck. Saw DP not identified as a cylon and all hell broke loose! Lol.

Besides, can wolfes/cylon kill another wolf/ cylon? Had a crazy theory and if it weren't for Tomorrows last post that you fortunately quoted...alas! How fortunate that he was around when I shot him! Learned a lot during this game. Also interesting to observe how perspective is changing when you look at the events from some distance.

Heh, you and DP being cleared and hanging around for so long did help some. :D
No possible infections as well.

The thing about my role was that it made absolutely no difference anymore, so I was yelling solely for the purpose of hoping I'd be targeted. At that point we knew it was 2 out of 3 and nothing about my role would help us select the right one or in the right order (alpha before kamikaze). I never expected it was starbuck we were lynching though.

However, I think the first night shows I can't hang around as a baddie :D. People want to see what's under my skirt too quickly.

Ravenvii sent me a message that you found me, SilentPanda, but I knew I was going to die. I voted for miself right after receiving the message.

I didn't try to find you that night, so I scanned DP.

From the cylon side, you were scanned purely by random chance. It had nothing to do with perceived ability.

It's fine. You were just a worthless pawn for the cause anyway! :p

I didn't understand the traitor thing. Where did I say that in the first narrative?

As for Cavil, I did it for the narrative. I knew that it would be painfully obvious which Cylon was off'd by the next day (no kamikaze attack and Baltar activated that very night) so I knew that revealing that the Cylon was Cavil did not hurt the game at all.

Same for Athena. It was already obvious.

The only other role I hinted at via the narrative when it wasn't clear was Starbuck, but I made that subtle enough that it didn't matter.

Serious question. Is this the first game that the humans/civilians/villagers won with only a single person?

great game!
well played by all sides! and beautifully narrated

i was undecided whether to scan pluto or moyank on night 2, it would have helped to find a cylon early, as at the end we had zero margin for errors.
but it worked out anyway.

it might well be.
seemed scripted. humans on the verge of disaster, one kill away from extinction and the gun-a-blazing hero saves the day at the very end!

So Chrmjenkins, are you ready to run the Game-of-Thrones version?

I figured people would want a breaking bad version. Is someone else running one? Don't have time right now, but in a couple days...

I feel sorry for the Queen to die in such an uncomfortable way! I'd have called myself very fortunate if I could have taken her place instead! :D

But seriously, can wolves kill wolves at night?? For whatever reason, but theoretically?

I don't know exactly how it might work, but I'd really like to see (very loose rule incoming that I'm aware has flaws) a rule where people get thrown in jail before being killed. They may end up staying in jail a few days. Maybe there is a way out. Maybe somebody can even break them out. I don't know. If they had an ability they could only use it on other people in jail with them. People outside jail could scan people in or out jail, people in jail could only scan those in jail with them. People in jail wouldn't get to vote. If you were busted out of jail, it would be in secret and you couldn't vote, but you could scan people outside of jail. I don't know.

I feel like some people really wanted to play and were killed very early, and some didn't have time to play and were left alive a really long time. I'm not going to say "You have to participate this much to play" and I fully recognize that things come up, people have lives. It's not a dig on people that couldn't or chose not to play as much. It's more that I'm certain some that wanted to play more or were able to play more were killed very early on. "Hey come play Candyland with us! I know you're super excited to play! Oh wait sorry we ate your piece. Everybody else that's playing, roll your dice* if you feel like it... ya know... when you have time." Some rule to ensure everybody can play at least for a few days of the game would be nice. Again, I seriously don't mind the less participatory folks. But the text is all we have for game pieces. My goal is to increase participation instead of killing people off instantly.

* Yeah I know Candyland doesn't use dice, it uses cards. Shush!

I would assume they can... but I don't think there is any benefit. At least in this game. It would have said "A Cylon is killed overnight" so everybody would have known. Then it just reduces their numbers overall.

My mistake! It looks like twietee started that ball of junk!

No it was actually scepticalscribe who did that (wouldn't call it ball of junk though), right after the first night. I just took the narration serious at some point, because everybody acted as if it was a done thing.

Nope. It wouldn't. Never did in this game. I take it the Cylons don't leave any bodies to be examined by the specialists.

Yesssssss. This! But let's keep the same general names for roles. I'm a horrible person who hasn't watched Battlestar Galactica and it was confusing for me.

Hope we can have a new game sooner than later! And I'll try to change my playstyle (i.e. throttle down my post and body count dramatically) in that occasion. I'll bookmark this, so when you call me out on it...you read it here first.

No, no. That wouldn't do. You'd need a servant of R'hollor, a Master of Whispers, A Silent Sister, A Hand of the King, a... :)
