People like you giving their data away to an ad company for free. That's how. Thanks! You want all the content for free, hd, without ads, without your data being used and without subscribing to their premium offering? How on earth do you expect a service like this to keep afloat then?
Well said. User data about their viewing practices, history, clicks, and so forth, are valuable to an ad company like Google.People like you giving their data away to an ad company for free. That's how. Thanks!
same for me. no PiP. I use youtube premium. tried updating the app and logging in and out. no difference.PiP still isn't working.
At least it no longer pops up with the music content notice; so that's progress - sort of.
Would this only work in the Safari browser and not the YouTube app?Just buy the Vinegar extension and you’ll have PiP and ad free YouTube across all of your Apple devices. Best $2 I spent on the App Store.
PiP now works on my end, I'm not sure why it's still not working for some. Google has delayed this feature for so long and they can't even implement it properly.
I keep looking for the option in settings on my iPhone, but it hasn't made it to my account yet. 😩
That is correct.Would this only work in the Safari browser and not the YouTube app?
they have done a **** job with rolling out stuff. stadia was a complete disaster when it launched. they don't do a good job with organization and execution. this Pip should've been available for years. it was available before but they got rid of it on the app. it only took like 7 years to have the same functionality we used to have on previous models.Agreed that Google looks to have continually botched the implementation of this "feature". I've wondered if it's more of a removal of restriction than creating the feature.
Same here. The "feature" is still not enabled in my YouTube app.
Ah! I just tried that and it worked. I wonder if I need to create a new account to start anew. The only way it works for now is if you log out of your account.
Are you talking about the app or Safari? The only way it works for now is if you log out of your account.
Reinstall the app. It should work.I have the option after downloading the latest iOS YouTube update.
But even with this and the iOS setting both on, it doesn't work.
It just started working when I tried again. I guess since my last post something sorted itself out server-side!Reinstall the app. It should work.
