Obviously the increased revenue will be used to buy more 4K content. I remember buying a $5000 HDTV just to watch one channel.
Now that's funny!!! Thanks!

Yep and that's $5 or so more than the HD package. Google lost their minds!Wow, an *extra* $19.00 just to get 4K. The total I pay for Netflix is $17.99.
You're dead on. Cable still gets nutty with many TVs, but if you only have 1 or 2 TVs, cable's internet + TV may be a better deal. Amazing. For certain situations, YouTube TV is vastly superior to Xfinity. My single YouTube TV subscription is split between three households — mom, sister + brother-in-law and me. We all have our own profiles with our own recorded content. We can watch on all our devices, anytime, anywhere, and have never run into any issues unless we run afoul of the maximum of three simultaneous streams. And, with three households contributing to the overall cost, it's significantly cheaper than Comcast. Plus, the unlimited DVR is amazing

It states right in article, no charge for 5.1 ?This is ridiculous. $20/month for 5.1 audio.
Two different things old-timer (Youtube vs Youtube TV).I always thought YouTube was a place for amateurs to air content they make, how times change.
I think you're confusing accounts and streams. There were always 5 or 6 account slots but only 3 simultaneous streams.
Can I share my membership?
Yes, your YouTube TV membership comes with 6 accounts to share with roommates or family members in your household. (Ages 13 and up.) Everyone gets their own login, personalized content recommendations, and individual DVR library. Up to 3 simultaneous streams are allowed per membership.
I always thought 5/6 streams were available.....
And off network recordings - that alone is worth it to me when on Airplanes and traveling. DirecTV had the feature but would only work 1/2 the time. I have been able to connect to Youtube TV while abroad using VPN.That's not correct, 5.1 will come to all of us, it's $19.99 for 4k and unlimited streams.
That is indeed approaching that you pay for with cable. I'd just subscribe to a bunch of major 4K streaming services.4K Plus is priced at an additional $19.99 per month on top of the standard YouTube TV streaming price, which starts at $65. That means subscribers can expect to pay $85 per month to watch YouTube TV in 4K, though Google is offering a promotion.
New users can get a one-month free trial and then will pay $9.99 per month for a year, after which the price will increase to $19.99 per month.
Plus downloading recordings for offline viewing, right? That's not correct, 5.1 will come to all of us, it's $19.99 for 4k and unlimited streams.
I find that odd, because most Google Products are free or low cost. Apple's products are on a completely different level. People all in on Apple and overpaying makes sense. Google does not---at least not to me.Google is the be-all, end-all for a lot of people, just like Apple is the be-all, end-all for their dedicated users. Both will find the price acceptable no matter what.
But they always were what they were trying to kill. They are just the same cable package except delivered over the internet.YouTube TV and Hulu have become what they were trying to kill.
