iPhone Stuck in revoery loop after downgrade ... please wait... please wait

ok most of my problem is in the title but here are the details

Iphone 3gs

upgraded to 6.1.3 trying to downgrade ios to 4.1

only other shsh on phone is 4.1 by found out by tiny umbrella so I
downloaded iPhone2,1_4.1_8B117_Restore
Ran redsnow 0.7.15b3 and it seemed to downgrade fine.

But Now I'm Stuck in recovery loop so I tried running recovery fix via redsnow, have tried it multiple times but all I get is please wait every time.

not sure why I typed 4gs in the title lol but it's a 3gs

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Why trying to downgrade to 4.1?

You should be able to restore to 4.1 without redsn0w or SHSH's as it is still signed.

Hit ALT-restore in iTunes and select the IPSW
 
Why would you upgrade to 6.1.3 in an attempt to downgrade to 4.1 ?
Apple still signs 4.1 for 3GS so every 3GS can still save 4.1 SHSH

What version of Redsn0w did you use ? Current is 0.9.15b3

Did you install the iPad baseband, if so - get rid of it.

Correct your host file to point to Apple
Download 4.1 IPSW to desktop
Put phone in pwnedDFU mode and use iTunes to navigate to 4.1 IPSW
 
ok first I'm trying to downgrade to jailbreak and unlock the phone.

I didn't personally upgrade the phone it's an old phone that was given to one of my kids and I'm trying to make it work on my carrier and jailbreak for fun.

I have tried to restore with itunes, the first time I did it, it automatically put 6.1.3 back on it even though I selected 4.1

redsnow 0.7.15b3 to answer the other question.

I did not install ipad baseband don't even know what that is....

I did download my 4.1 directly from apple but as I said just now it automatically goes to 6.1.3 I'm assuming it's an apple patch

I have never heard of that version - is it a typo ?

You must "Navigate" to the downloaded IPSW or iTunes will always install the current firmware.

Perhaps reading some 3GS tutorials on iClarified.com would help you.
 
Sorry its 0.9.15b3 that was a typo I have been reading blogs and tutorials and watching videos for the last 6 hours ..literally followed them all to a T and still same issue....
 
Thanks for trying to help guys, I finally got it just had to go into Pwned dfu mode for some reason....

You can jailbreak 6.1.3 also with redsn0w although a tethered JB.

Which carrier is locked to? Best way to unlock is request from the carrier itself or a IMEI unlock from a grey market vendor online, those are permanent and for the most part cheap, AT&T for just a few dollars.

If you want to software unlock when jailbroken you need to downgrade to the 05.13.04 BaseBand. To do that you the phone first needs to be at the 06.15.0 BB

Which BB does it currently have? Look in Settings/General/Info
At the bottom it says Modemversion, that is the BB vesrion
