Hello,
I'm pretty sick of listening to the same music AGAIN and AGAIN. I have the same songs played over on iTunes 50 times. The problem is that there is a lot of good music out there but I don't have a good way of discovering it.
I tried Pandora and it was ok-good with finding music but once I had it bookmarked or liked I found it difficult to refind it. Plus it didn't have charts on what is popular in each genre - for example I recently went to a bluegrass concert and I really enjoyed the music but I don't know any bands and so Pandora is kind of useless for me unless I have a specific like. When I do like something it does play good, relevant music it didn't give me options to store the music online or play it at will from a library which is a huge downside for me.
I also tried Mog and while I had a better experience than Pandora I found it SUPER buggy. The mobile app was complete **** with my Android phone but I don't know how it is with the iPhone. Music discovery is easier as all the top songs are listed and I found some good music of there..Budos Band comes to mind. Also being able to store the music was huge for me. I still felt that the music discovery system wasn't optimized as it lacked the social networking angle Spotify has. It is worth the $5 price even though I cancelled my subscription.
Spotify seems super promising but I'm in the US - does this mean I can't use it?
If not are there any other sites that people here could reccomend for music discovery that also have cloud music storage?
One I'm looking at is grooveshark although a big downside is the lack of a mobile music application.
