Hi guys,

I have been wrestling with a server solution for Time Machine for a while. I originally planned to do a Linux server and mount a remote directory in Leopard and use that directory for Timemachine.

<RAID>
4x Hitach 7200rpm 680GB w/32mb Cache
1x Promise Fasttrack TX4310
</RAID>

That did not work. I got Fedora 9 installed but it was being difficult with the RAID card I bought so last night I built a Vista x32 machone but the problem I have is that I cannot get the directory sharing to work right. Leopard does not see Vista and from Vista I see "tsclient" which I doubt is the Mac but not sure. It is not the network infrastructure. I can ping to Leopard from Vista. Also, the network config should not be an issue. I have a DLink wireless N router that is acting as the DHCP server and both machines are in the same workgroup. Ideally, I would like to do the equivalent of mapping (Windows term) the remote directory in Leopard.
