Whats with the 9-30-10 re-evaluation date? Steve stated "he did not know what the next antenna design would be". He did not deny an internal modification in the future, did he?

Let's see the inside of a iPhone 4 in 8 weeks.:apple:

My initial impression was that the iPhones are undergoing a quiet internal mod to the antenna and 30 SEP is Apples projected date for them to hit the street (i.e. all the ones without the mod would already be in the hands of consumers). If that isn't true, and there is no planned modification, it makes no sense to just haphazardly stop the free bumpers given what he said today. There is nothing to re-evaluate.

There isn't going to be a hardware upgrade at least not to the ip4, the ip5 probably. After the Conference today and other phones do it stuff, they aren't going to turn around and then say well we can fix it this way and then screw the 1st buyers and open themselves up to another lawsuit.

Sept 30 cut off, may be like one poster stated the end of their fiscal quater but also that gives all the preorder, july and the august buyers enough time with their phone and for the late buyer to get them(this gives the white ip4 enough time to sale). October 1 is pretty much saying you've had plenty of time to know and hear about this issue and bought it anyway, we have bumpers for $29 or buy a case of your choice.

September 30th is the end of the current fiscal quarter. I'm sure the date has no other significance.

+1

Close up the books and keep any financial anomalies confined to one quarter. Makes quarter to quarter analysis easier to explain.
